The CGSNO2iS-PSA is a nitrogen dioxide electro-chemical detector and is typically used as a standalone unit or in conjunction with an CGS controller within enclosed parking garages. This unit provides a clear digital display of the gas concentrations and the alarm condition housed in a robust ABS enclosure designed to withstand the parking environment. The unit comes with pre-programed alarm levels and requires no on-site set-up.
NO2 has a specific gravity of 1.448 and is therefore slightly heavier than air. As there is a requirement for constant air flow in the parking garage and taking into account other obstacles at lower levels, CGS recommends to mount the NO2 sensor is 48-60inches above ground level. When the sensor head detects NO2 at a level exceeding 0.7ppm the pre-alarm relay and 0-10v output changes state. Once the NO2 level drops the relay and 0-10v output reverts to original state. If the level continues to rise a second alarm relay set at 2ppm will change state along with the 0-10v output. In alarm the unit provides a local audible and visual alarm.
